Witches at Lisa Hora

When the Mongol hords arrived, many people tried to hide in the caves of Lisa Hora, a hill in the south of the city, near Pirogovo. The people were betrayed, though, and the Mongols walled up the entrance to the caves, leaving the victims suffer a horrible death. Nowadays, witches often gather at this hounted place. But as few mortals dare to come here at night, it is not known, which rituals take place.

 

The ghost of the House with Chimaeras

Polish architect Horodetsky built this house as a tribute to his daughter. She had drowned not long before the construction.Many people working here late, have seen her soul walking around the house. Usually with water still running out of her clothes and hair.

 

The red University

It may seem like a normal thing: The university is red, because someone painted it that way. Well not entirely. Through history, the university building had many colours. But since once it was painted red, and then in other colours, the red starts shining through every time. No scientific, nor supernatural explanation has been found yet, so if you can help us with such, then let us know!

Flattering Granny

One word that everyone knows in Russian is ‘Babushka’, granny. (Babusia in Ukrainian) The word is closely related to the word ‘Babochka,’ butterfly. But why this relation? Well, here’s the story: Since ages, from dusk till dawn, a beautiful girl is walking around Kyiv, flattering from boy to boy, mostly foreign. She looks beautiful as a butterfly. But once the sun rises, at dawn, her bright colours and beauty are gone. She becomes her normal babushka self again. An evil caterpillar-witch granny, that spins a cocoon around her foreign bate, to keep as a trofee.
