When in Ukraine, do as the Ukrainians. It's a very simple rule that fits for every place. But don't worry, locals don't eat you for making cultural mistakes. 

 

Some things are interesting though. Like anywhere, Ukrainians have some superstitions, like don't shake hands through the doorway. Wait till both people are on one side of it.

 

Language, food, laughing in public, passing on money in a marshrutka... It's good to know a bit of the basics, to feel like a local.
